Nhat says that each trophy is made of plaster and weighs between 0.7 and 1.2 kg. His workshop plans to produce around 5,000 cups this year, roughly 1.5 times higher compared to the previous World Cup four years ago. There are many steps in the process to make the trophies, with the artisan spending around three to five days to complete a gold World Cup trophy. Each World Cup trophy costs between VND100,000 and VND200,000. Embracing his passion for football, Nhat is able to create this special product. Nhat’s workshop operates at full capacity in order to meet customers’ demands. He sells 30 cups per day on average, with the majority of them being sold via social media. The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to begin on November 20 at the Al Bayt Stadium when hosts Qatar take on Ecuador in Group A. The global event will then last through to December 18.
