Wild peach blossoms herald the arrival of Spring in Mu Cang Chai
Every year in January, the mountains of Mu Cang Chai District , in the northern mountain province of Yen Bai, are transformed into a vibrant pink hue by the blossoming of wild peach trees. The awe-inspiring sight of these blossoms on the towering peaks gives the entire region a fairy-tale-like appearance. The wild peach trees grow naturally in a number of communes including La Pan Tan, Lao Chai, Nam Khat, and Pung Luong, all located in Mu Cang Chai District. These blossoms attract thousands of visitors during the spring season. This unique tree can only be found at altitudes exceeding 1,000 meters above sea level.
