2023 Festival of Embassies Food and Culture Showcases Vietnamese Cuisine

The annual cultural event aims to enhance cultural exchange and provide locals with a greater understanding of different nations around the world. Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy traditional dishes and impressive cultural performances from various countries. Notably, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic collaborated with TAMDA FOODS company to showcase traditional Vietnamese dishes such as fried spring rolls, southern Vietnamese beef noodles, and bun cha. Czech customers also expressed a keen interest in other aspects of Vietnamese culture, particularly conical hats. The participation of the Vietnamese Embassy in this event has helped promote the culture and image of Vietnam to the Czech community and international friends. Osaka Hosts Vietnam Festival

Consul General Ngo Trinh Ha mentioned at the event that Vietnam and Japan have built a cooperative relationship of friendship, trust, mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit over the past 50 years. World Record Set for Breakfast Consisting of 2126 Bowls of Pho

The charity event was jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City municipal People’s Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA). The event took place at the Tan Thuan export processing zone in District 7. The purpose of the occasion was to provide breakfast to more than 2,000 workers after participating in a fundraising walk to support impoverished workers in the city. The organizers prepared 10 pots and 1,000 liters of water for the special breakfast. The breakfast menu included 2,126 bowls of Pho, which were cooked using 44kg of beef, 26.4kg of vegetables, 26.4kg of raw sprouts, and 69.5kg of ingredients such as lemon, onion, and pepper. A total of 80 chefs participated in the event. The collection inspires from national flags, flowers and drawings of both Vietnam and Japan. The outfits feature different flowers of the two countries. Tasting Lotus Tea at West Lake in Hanoi

Early every morning in summer, local villagers bring back home lotus flowers which they pick from the West Lake in Tay Ho District. A local villager is busy harvesting lotus to meet the growing demand in summer. From 4 a.m.  local villagers have to get up to pick lotus flowers. The petal peeling also needs to be finished before mid-day to preserve the fragrance of  the flowers. Locals classify lotuses before making tea. Some lotus flowers are for sale, costing from VND10,000 to VND15,000 each flower. French and Canadian Teams Take Part in Da Nang Fireworks Festival

The team Hands Fireworks from Canada made their debut at the DIIF with a performance titled “Aurora.” This performance aimed to recreate the shimmering beauty of the aurora, a natural light display typically visible only at night in the lower polar regions. Accompanied by Canadian electronic music, the French performance left the audience in awe with its mesmerizing use of light and colors. Another newcomer to the DIFF, the team Arteventia from France, presented a performance called “Colours of Hope.” This performance conveyed a powerful message about the importance of resilience in overcoming difficulties and discovering the beauty of life.
