Promoting Korean cuisine in Hanoi through Chef Show 2023

The programme will comprise three mini shows to be held between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on May 5, May 6, and May 7. Chef Show 2023 is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants who will receive free tickets on the fanpage of the Korea Tourism Organisation. First started as Bibap Show, a 30-minute performance to raise the awareness about Korean food in 2008, changed its name to Chef Show and underwent an upgrade in 2011. The show will see a combination of beat boxing, B-boy dancing, martial arts, and other dance performances. The programme simulates a special restaurant where chefs participate in a culinary competition to find the master chef who holds the best cooking secrets. Audiences will be able to take part in the entire cooking process, and sample dishes such as Bibimbap, sushi, pizza, and noodles. Vietnam to attend international book fair in Malaysia

The schedule will see Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung represent the country to present a range of outstanding local publications to foreign visitors. A number of Vietnamese books will be showcased at the Vietnamese booth, including the national geography of the Nguyen Dynasty (1820-1884) Hoang Viet Nhat Thong Du Dia Chi, which won the highest prize of Vietnam National Book Awards 2022; an art book written on bamboo paper Thien trong tung phut giay (Every-minute zen); and the Chinh phu ngam (Lament of the soldier’s wife). At the event, Dr. Hung will serve as a speaker at the ASEAN Copyright Conference. Art programme honours traditional craft villages in Hue

Vietnam’s Phu Yen to host tuna parties on coming holiday

The upcoming five-day holiday lasts from April 29 to May 3 to celebrate Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day (April 29), Reunification Day (April 30), and International Workers’ Day (May 1). To cater to tourists during this occasion, the coastal province already prepared multiple events, especially tuna parties held at major tourist attractions in the provincial capital city of Tuy Hoa, said Cao Hong Nguyen, head of the tourism management division under the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on Sunday. Vietnam saves over $500,000 thanks to Cambodia’s offer of free meals, accommodations to SEA Games delegations

Cambodia announced the unprecedented sponsorship on Tuesday. The 2023 SEA Games is scheduled to take place in the capital city of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap Province, Preah Sihanouk Province, Kampot Province, and Kep Province from May 5 to 17. The biennial Games is expected to draw the attendance of 11,000 athletes, coaches, referees, and officials from 11 delegations in 608 events over 48 sports. The Southeast Asian Sports Federation stipulates that the food and accommodations allowance for each member of the sports delegations participating in the SEA Games held in any country must be $50 a day. The host country also has to take care of all domestic transportation for the delegations. With the offer of free meals and accommodations, Cambodia will have to spend about $550,000 on a daily basis for their hospitality, according to a sports official from Vietnam.
