Yoyogi Park in Japan, host of the ‘Vietnam Phở Festival’, is now in its prime season of the year

The park is divided into two main areas: one for trees and a bird sanctuary and one for an outdoor stage and a stadium. The Vietnam Phở Festival 2023, themed “Harmonious Flavors: Enjoying and Exploring Vietnamese Culinary Culture,” is an important stride of the ‘Day of Pho’ (December 12), hosted annually by Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper, as it will be held abroad for the first time. The event aims to enhance the global recognition of Vietnamese culinary culture, particularly pho, a Vietnamese soup consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat – usually beef or chicken. Japanese newspaper interested in expanding collaboration with Tuoi Tre newspaper

The Vietnam Phở Festival 2023 organizing board, consisting of representatives from Tuoi Tre and Saigontourist Group’s chairman Pham Huy Binh, paid a visit to Mainichi, Tuoi Tre’s strategic partner, on the same day. The festival, set to happen at Yoyogi Park – Keyaki Namiki, Tokyo on Saturday and Sunday, aims to introduce Vietnamese cuisine, particularly pho, to the world and bring the taste of homeland pho to overseas Vietnamese. “Tuoi Tre and domestic businesses being able to hold an international event after the COVID-19 pandemic is truly admirable,” expressed Tanaka. “Mainichi hopes that Tuoi Tre will support us in resuming our promotional activities to contribute to fostering bilateral ties,” he added.
