Vietnam and Japan Celebrate at Opening of Festival 2023 in Hanoi

The event was jointly organized by the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association in Hanoi and the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam. It took place at Dong Da district’s culture, information, and sports center. According to Kamitani Naoko, the director of the Japan Information and Culture Center at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, regular cultural exchange activities have greatly contributed to a better understanding between Vietnamese and Japanese people. The festival featured a wide range of activities, including the third Vietnamese Haiku poetry seminar, which brought together 50 members from the Haiku poetry club under the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association and other clubs from across the country. The winning photos of the 12th Vietnam International Photography Competition (VN-23) are on display at an open-air exhibition at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi until March 19. The opening ceremony of the 12th International Photo Contest in Vietnam Exhibition took place on March 13 in Hanoi. Photo: VNA With four categories of “free theme in color,” “free theme in monochrome,” “Children’s” (both color and monochrome), and “Creative” (both color and monochrome), VN-23 has attracted 10,330 works by 1,079 authors from 32 countries and territories. According to the organizing committee, the works submitted to the competition will be independently and objectively judged online by four prestigious Vietnamese and international juries.
