Foreign Tourists Enjoy The Street Festival In Hue
Continuing the success of the previous eight festival seasons since 2005 and conduct the four-season festival, the People’s Committee of Hue City will hold Hue Traditional Crafts Festival 2023 entitled “the quintessence of Vietnamese traditional crafts” from April 28 to May 5, 2023.

The People’s Committee of Hue City is now making an effort to prepare for Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023. The event is expected to bring together many art programs and festivals which are imbued with Hue’s traditional cultural identity.
As planned, Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 will be held from April 28 to May 5, 2023. The event will be commenced on April 28th and wrapped up on May 5, 2023. The event will be held along the Huong riverbank and other areas across Hue City.

This festival attracts a lot of attention and admiration from tourists and people from around the world coming to witness the colorful events.
Hue Traditional Craft Festival has the participation of hundreds of artisans and artists performing on the main roads of Hue City such as Tran Hung Dao, Le Loi, Chu Van An, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Trieu, Ha Huy Tap, combining movement with musical performance, dance, and unique melodies.
Dancers in splendid costumes perform attractive dances on the street.
An image that draws the attention of tourists is the performance of a fishing scene of the fishermen in Thua Thien – Hue. The funky dances and songs of the fishermen bring laughter to visitors.

Street performance is a meaningful activity, contributing to the success of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival, affirming, honoring, and promoting the unique traditional cultural values of the nation, and the images of Hue to tourists around the world.
In addition to the main programs already organized in previous seasons, this year’s festival also brings new programs. Gastronomy ceremony entitled “Tinh hoa nghe bun” (the quintessence of rice noodle-making craft), street parade “Tri an dong Huong” (paying tribute to the Huong river) festival – lantern boats on the river and setting a new record. Particularly, this year’s Festival highlights international relations via culture and art exchange programs among globe-wide cities having established twining and cooperative relations with Hue city.

Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 is expected to create a meaningful event, focusing on the creative industry. In addition to cultural activities, folk festivals, court festivals, sideline activities, and community activities within the framework of Hue Festival 2023. Hue Traditional Craft Festival attracts programs and activities such as exhibiting and introducing products of Hue traditional craft villages from typical localities across the country and international cities; a ceremony which honors craft founders – paying tribute to Vietnamese traditional craft villages, honor and commemorate the merit of craftsmen, honor craft villages and other programs, creating a brand new Festival.
Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Vo Le Nhat said the event will contribute to promoting the image of the ancient capital, as well as preserving and developing traditional craft villages and typical handicraft industries nationwide.
